30-year-old husband pressures wife not to quit job so they can be millionaires in 5 years, she refuses: "Tough it out for 5 years"

Welcome back ladies and gentlemen of the internet. Marriage doesn't exist in the background of your life, it's sitting front and center to everything you do. Not to sound like an emotionally regressed, noncommittal man, but the moment you decide on a person to spend your life with, you're bereft of your personal freedoms. Now, for someone who loves their partner and sees the benefits of a relationship, this isn't a cost you're unwilling to give. It's not about giving up your freedoms, it's about spending your life and building your life with someone else. Someone to catch your fall, someone to help you through the hard times, and most importantly, someone to split the cost of rent with. 

Money is also not something that sits in the background. If you're someone who's ever struggled to make end's meet, then you know the encompassing and collapsing fear and uncertainty of being financially unstable. It's not comfortable for anyone, and when you marry, make sure you're both on the same page financially.

    Its unfortunately common for companies let people go before their vesting period. It doesn't sound like she has much protection from that.
